The workstations are all running on Intel NUC's. I have tried CentOS which worked, but had some compatibility issues such as random shuddering and freezing when using KDE or Gnome. Ubuntu 16.04 fails to install. I tried Ubuntu 12.04 which worked great, but I would like to upgrade to the newest version for up-to-date performance and security fixes.

The C series is passively cooled, so no noise from fans. My only complaint is that it uses Intel processors. I think they do finally have a AMD version available.
